Planning Council Membership Requirements:

  • Dutchess County resident or a provider of HIV services in Dutchess County
  • Willingness to attend monthly Planning Council meetings
  • Active participation on at least one committee
  • Represent the Planning Council to the community in a professional, confidential manner (in accordance with NYS Confidentiality Law)
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that you may have
  • Agree to follow the By-Laws of the Planning Council

 

Planning Council Application Process:

  • Complete a membership application, resume or personal statement, and one letter of reference to the Planning Council office
  • Attend Membership Orientation
  • Attend three Planning Council meetings
  • Membership Committee requests the Planning Council vote to make a recommendation about the candidate to the County Executive for appointment
  • Planning Council forwards the recommendation along with the application and resume or personal statement to the Grantee
  • County Executive reviews the information and appoints members
