The Planning Council accomplishes its duties through
the cooperation and collaboration of
five working committees:
~Executive Committee~
The Executive Committee is responsible for ensuring the order
and progression of the Planning Council’s work. Made up of the Chair(s) of the full
Planning Council and the Chairs of each working committee. Representatives of the Grantee and the
Planning Council Support Manager are also present at the Executive
Committee meetings.

Committee generally meets at 3:30pm on the day of the full Planning
Council meeting at Catharine
Street Community
Center. (see calendar)
~Planning and Allocations Committee~
The Planning and Allocations Committee (P&A) is responsible
for assessing the needs of those living with HIV/AIDS in Dutchess County. This Committee also creates and updates
the Dutchess County Comprehensive Services Plan (CSP). The CSP is a document that identifies
care needs and gaps in services; it also describes a plan and set of
goals to guide the work of the Planning Council. The P&A Committee is also
responsible for coordinating the process of distributing funds to the
necessary service providers.
The Planning and
Allocations Committee generally meets on the second Wednesday of the
month at 9:30am at the Planning Council office. (see calendar)
~Evaluation Committee~
The Evaluation Committee is responsible for evaluating of the
Grantee’s efficiency and means of allocating funds to service
providers. This Committee also
reviews and revises the Standards of Care for service providers to abide
by and evaluates utilization data given by each provider.

Committee generally meets on the first Monday of each month at 3:30pm at
the Planning Council office. (see calendar)
~Membership Committee~
The Membership Committee recruits, trains and upholds a diverse
Council membership that is reflective of the various communities impacted
by HIV/AIDS within Dutchess
County. The
Membership Committee is responsible for member orientation, ongoing
training, community relations and PLWH representation on the Planning
Council.

Committee generally meets at 3:00pm on the day of the full Planning
Council meeting at Catharine
Street Community
Center.

~PLWH Advisory Group~
The mission of the PLWH Advisory Group is to provide a mechanism
through which people living with HIV/AIDS can work collaboratively with
the Planning Council on the full range of Planning Council activities.
The voices and experiences of Persons Living With HIV/AIDS are invaluable
to the planning process, and PLWH are encouraged to participate on all
committees, as Planning Council members and as liaisons to other
HIV-related organizations.

Group generally meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm at
